1970 Accutron Day-Date Men's Dress Watch — 14K Yellow Gold

A handsome 1970 Accutron dress watch in 14K yellow gold, with a semi-cushion round case and domed acrylic crystal. The silver-tone dial features stick and Roman indexes, baton hands, and a day-date display at 3 o'clock. Powering it is Accutron's tuning fork movement — first introduced in the 1960s and the world's first fully electric watch movement, arriving long before the quartz era. Rather than a traditional balance wheel, it uses a tuning fork to keep time, giving the watch its signature smooth sweeping seconds hand and a distinctive hum in place of a tick.
