A striking early 1970s Zenith El Primero automatic chronograph in stainless steel, retaining its original silvered dial and hands. Powering it is the celebrated El Primero caliber 3019PHC — introduced in 1969 as one of the world's first automatic chronograph movements and still renowned for its high-beat 36,000 vph rate. Condition

The stainless steel case is clean, with some scuffs consistent with age; a scratch on the case back was present when the watch was received from a previous technician. The dial and hands are clean and in very good condition, and the acrylic crystal is clean and clear. The movement is running strong and keeping good time, with the chronograph starting, stopping, and resetting correctly. This listing was previously posted while the chronograph was non-functional; that has since been sorted and everything now works as it should.
